Works perfectly! Fits not only name brand Crocs, but others too. Easy to put in, and they do stay in pretty well. There are a couple of modes too - constant, flash, and strobe.
I got these lights on a lark. I wasn't sure they would work for me, but they did in unexpected ways. First, I live in a rural place on a small farm. We don't have street lights. When there is no moonlight, it is impossible to see more than a few feet in front of yourself.
While "crock-type" shoes are not recommended for the terrain/environment, it was necessary for the testing. (see photos) It was mostly dark, with a waning moon. The lights did provide enough illumination so that I could see where I was stepping. There is even a kind of strobe-light effect that makes it really easy to see a person in the dark. My husband said that he thought this would be great for people who bike in the early evening and dusk hours. The strobe-light effect captures attention more than a solid light making a person/bike rider more visible to traffic.
The lights do not have clips, rather pegs which fit into the holes of “crock-type” shoes. Once in place, I did not get the sense that they would easily fall out of place.
The lights come in a pair with 2 sets of batteries, installed and one each extra. As we are moving into the fall, I can see myself putting these lights on my mail-box shoes in the evenings.
If I had grand-kids, I would put these lights on their shoes for Halloween and other evening/dusk walks. I would absolutely set the light to strobe.
Bottom line: A quirky item with definite uses. Lit up well enough for security cameras to get a sense of the size of the person and the pace of their movement.
My 6 year old son LOVES flashlights! When I saw these I HAD to get them for him. He clipped them onto his crocs and they are super bright and durable! These are metal or a hard plastic, and very well made! They flash and also stay on continuously.
This set includes two small LED flashlights designed to attach to Crocs, packaged in a paper box with each unit inside a separate ziplock bag. The kit also includes a color instruction sheet and extra button cell batteries.
Setup & Operation:
Each flashlight uses two button cell batteries (included)
To activate: unscrew the flashlight, remove the paper tab between batteries, reassemble
Three lighting modes: steady beam, fast strobe, slow strobe (controlled by pressing the light’s front)
Fit & Comfort:
Attaches securely to Crocs with a bit of effort
Once in place, does not press against toes or feet due to Crocs’ raised front ceiling
Stays in place during walking without noticeable movement
Build & Brightness:
Casing made of sturdy plastic
Bright beam for size — suitable for walking in low light
Manual is straightforward and easy to follow
Extra batteries add convenience and value
Pros:
Compact, lightweight, and discreet when worn
Multiple light modes for visibility and fun
No discomfort while wearing
Sturdy construction and clear instructions
Cons:
Attaching to Crocs can be a little tricky at first
Plastic build is durable but not weatherproof
Verdict: A fun, functional accessory for Crocs owners who want extra visibility at night. Bright enough for casual use, well-packaged, and comfortable in use.
I went camping and used these on my name branded clogs with holes.
First, they were a bit hard to get on, I was afraid I would break them until I figured them out. Once on, they are super secure do not extend into the shoe to rub my foot- I did not even feel them or notice them, they are so lightweight. This is a plus and minus, because forgetting about them, I forgot my foot is "thicker" with them on and kicking my shoes off, one smacked the lip of a camp bunk- and survived. The other snagged when I got home and was unloading and broke- I obliterated it. It's light plastic, it was my fault, but be warned if you are using them for kids- they are not super robust.
They are *bright* and have a variety of modes- solid light, blinking fast, & blinking slow- each obtained by pushing on the "lens"- which is a pretty convenient switch, I am glad it was not some tiny silicone rubber push button. Putting them both on and going to the bathroom while camping, however, made me motion sick. As did jogging with them on- one or both. If you are moving at a sedate pace that should not be an issue.
They came with an extra set of batteries- each takes 2 of the flat coin style CR 2032's, and the set came with 8- 2 in each light, and 2 extra per light. *Do* unscrew the lights to access the battery compartment and remove the plastic shipping protector before use!
These are fun, easy to use, and great for midnight runs to the bathroom when camping.
Without the extra batteries, these are a great price, but with the extras included, they are a steal.
