Not terrific, but does the job. I bought this for my cat to use so I would not have to always remember check the water dish every morning and night, along with being able to handle being away overnight. Turns out, my cat doesn't like it. Also, to keep the bowl clean (stuff floating around settling in the water and ending up at the bottom of the bowl) you either have to have an animal that will empty it in two or three days so you have a chance to rinse it out or you have to sacrifice about a liter of water. So basically, this is a good product but only for the right pet. My one complaint is that the bottle attachment could use a more positive "it's locked" feeling.
Much better than the one I used to have. Of course it's going to be difficult to clean inside the water reservoir, but I expected that so I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The reservoirs are really big, so I don't have to babysit the thing and fill it up all the time. My favorite feature, however, is the nipple cap on the water jug. In the past, I've dealt with gravity-waterers that you fill up and then have to quickly flip and insert before you spill half the water out. This is the type that I had in mind when I pulled the water reservoir out to fill for the first time, and I was honestly dreading having to quickly flip and insert one so big (and so heavy). This one has a screw-on top that features a nipple, though, and inside the bowl is a raised area to activate it....so it wont spill a drop and you can install it into the bowl with full confidence that no cleanup will be necessary. And although it's plastic and I despise plastic, it's not low-quality. I think that if I accidentally dropped the whole thing, it may actually survive it.
Really happy with this. So I bought these to keep outside for all of my neighborhood strays as well as my two indoor/outdoor cats. Really happy I bought these. It makes feeding/watering much more convenient as we're currently in the summer months and I felt like before I had these I was CONSTANTLY outside refilling water for the animals. This also ensures there's plenty of food for my cats as well as the 87 other strays that are nearby. Since we don't check ID in my household, there's still food left over to feed all of the skunks and possums in the area. While the animals near my house are probably all leaving 5 star reviews for this, I'm sure my neighboors probably hate me. Sorry, guys.
